Privacy
Salary by Metro publishes wage statistics and a take-home estimate. The wage pages are the same for every visitor. The site does not ask you to create a profile to read them.
What the server sees
A request for a page includes the usual technical details a host records: the address requested, the time, the browser type, and the IP address. Those logs are used to operate the site and to diagnose failures. Write to hello@salarybymetro.com if you have a question about a log entry tied to you.
Advertising cookies
Pages may show ads served by Google AdSense. Advertising partners can set or read cookies, and can use those cookies to measure ads and to make them more relevant. That processing is described in Google's advertising technologies policy.
You can limit or turn off personalized ads:
- Google Ads Settings
- How Google uses advertising cookies
- Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out
- Network Advertising Initiative opt-out
A browser setting that blocks third-party cookies will also limit these ads. Blocking cookies does not change the wage figures on the page.
If you write to hello@salarybymetro.com, the message is read to answer you. It is not added to an advertising list.
Wage lookups
The job and metro search runs in your browser against a list of occupation and metro names. The choice is sent only when you open the wage page that matches it.
